If you live in Kansas City, you’ve no doubt heard all about the brand-new KCI airport that opened to the public on February 28.

Whether you are excited about the new airport or not, there’s no denying that it features an incredible collection of new technology, local businesses, and diverse art pieces. In fact, of the 28 artists chosen to create pieces for the new terminal, 75% of them are based in Kansas City or have significant ties to the area.

Hasna Sal (who has partnered with E3 Academy’s Charles Tietgen on previous projects) was among the artists selected, and her 20-foot glass wall is a show-stopping explosion of color for travelers coming through the airport. Made of 10 painted-glass panels, it celebrates the “extraordinary in the ordinary” of Midwestern life.

E3 Academy is proud to be a part of this strong Kansas City community. While we offer online assessments that can be taken from any location, it’s part of our mission and commitment to invest in Kansas City. Since we first began, we’ve partnered with local organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Synergy Services, Guadalupe Centers High School, SOAR Special Needs, and O’Connell Youth Ranch.
